Help answer the question about digital maps

Digital Maps In Airplanes?
Hello!

I've just been fairly curious about something lately.

How do pilots guide airplanes to their destinations? Do airplanes come with digital maps that give them directions? And if there are digital maps, how are directions/locations put on the map?

Probably very simple questions, but I'm pretty clueless about airplanes and such.

Thanks to anyone who responds!
